Throughout the school year, we have focused on strengthening vocabulary development, reading comprehension, word analysis, context clue strategies, decoding skills, and academic language through a variety of activities, discussions, and reading experiences.
This post contains optional vocabulary review resources, practice activities, games, and enrichment opportunities that students can use throughout the year for continued skill building and support. These activities are designed to reinforce word recognition, improve reading and writing fluency, expand academic vocabulary, and encourage independent practice in a flexible, low-pressure environment.
Students are encouraged to:
✨ review vocabulary from previous lessons and readings
✨ explore new words and academic language
✨ practice context clue and word analysis strategies
✨ strengthen reading comprehension and writing skills
✨ participate in vocabulary games and discussion posts
✨ share strategies and examples of effective word usage
Remember — vocabulary growth happens through consistent exposure, practice, reading, and discussion over time. Small, consistent practice sessions are often more effective than memorization alone.
